Your Keynetic device can detect stops on your machine and count in real time the number of parts produced thanks to built-in algorithms that analyze your machines' vibrations.
Pack contents
| Your Keynetic device, which can be attached directly to your machine with magnets | |
| Its power supply, 24 VDC / 2.5 A | |
| A machine mounting plate with screws, to be used only if attaching your device to your machine with magnets is not possible |
With optional items:
- A Wi-Fi antenna
- A remote vibration sensor (also called an "external sensor")
- A magnetic pad to attach the remote sensor
Technical description of your device
For more information about your device's light strip, please refer to this article.
Installation prerequisites
- Make sure the machine has a nearby power outlet for powering the device
- Check that the power outlet your Keynetic is plugged into still delivers power even when your machine is switched off
- Make sure your IT team has authorized the device to access the internet (network procedure)
- Check that your device is properly assigned to a machine on your Keyprod platform
Installing your device
Step 1: Power on
Plug your device into the mains using the power cable. Wait while it starts up: the Keynetic logo will appear after about ten seconds.
Step 2: Placement on your machine
After plugging it in, attach your device by magnetizing it directly onto the machine or by fixing it with the mounting plate provided.
Correctly positioning your Keynetic is essential:
- It must allow your device to best pick up the vibrations generated by your machine while it is running
- It must be close to the operator's work area so they can easily access the touchscreen
If these two conditions are incompatible, you can use a remote sensor or access the platform from a computer or tablet. Contact your Keyprod representative to be guided toward the best solution.
Please refer to the following article to make sure you correctly position your device and/or its external sensor.
Step 3: Guided device setup
Once your device is powered and correctly positioned, follow the setup wizard on the touchscreen to complete the configuration.
Language selection
Select the display language, then press Next.
Time zone setting
Choose your time zone (default: Europe/Paris) so that the time and date on your Keynetic is correct.
Connectivity type selection
Select the network connection mode: Wireless (Wi-Fi) or Wired (RJ45).
- Wireless: choose your Wi-Fi network, enter the password if needed, then wait for the "Connected" confirmation
- Wired: plug the RJ45 cable into the Keynetic's RJ45 port, then continue
Connectivity check
Check the Connectivity screen to verify the status of the services. Please refer to this article for more information on this topic. It may take a few minutes for all the indicators to turn green.
Sensor selection
Choose your sensor (internal or external) according to your setup. Please refer to the article Internal/external sensor and gain for more information.
Configuration result
The final screen shows whether the configuration is complete or whether further action is still needed.
Step 4: Setting up stop detection
The final step is configuring stop detection. There is an initial, default stop detection setting that activates as soon as your device is connected to the internet and assigned to a machine. However, to ensure reliable detection, it should be adapted to your specific situation:
- Log in to your device's configuration interface (see the dedicated article)
- Follow the stop detection configuration procedure (Choosing an approach for stop detection)
Congratulations
Congratulations, you have just completed the installation and configuration of your Keynetic device, which is already reporting initial data for your production monitoring.
