Via our Application or the Keynetic interface, Keyprod helps you better understand the losses linked to series and series changes on your machines.
Changeovers and adjustments are among the most frequent losses observed with our customers and partners, and we strongly encourage you to include these events in your analysis.
In addition, using the changeover functionalities allows you to link production events to products and activate counting (manual or automatic), giving you a better understanding of your actual cycle times and your OEE.
This document explains how to perform changeovers in the Application or via the Keynetic interface.
(We recommend reading the help section on "Planning" to learn how to simplify changeovers for shopfloor teams by planning your production or importing scheduled jobs directly into the Keyprod Application).
Via the Keyprod Application
(Option 1) Using the "changeover" button
Step 1: Go to a "Machine" dashboard and click the "changeover" button
Step 2: Enter the information for the series to be started
- Manufacturing order: Reference of the manufacturing order
- Sequence: Phase number
- Quantity: Total number of expected parts
- Part reference: Reference of the part to be produced
- Reference cycle time: expected time per cycle for this sequence of production
Entering a few characters or clicking in the "Manufacturing order" field provides access to orders ready to be launched or scheduled.
Once the information is complete, click Validate.
Step 3: Start your machine setup
Once the new series information has been entered, the setup window opens and setup time is automatically measured.
Step 4: Validate the changeover and start production
Once the series has started, complete the changeover in the Application by clicking Validate.
The new series is now launched.
Step 4 bis: "Device Learning"
If you are using a Keynetic device that relies on its algorithms to automatically count parts, pop-up windows may suggest "starting a learning sequence". Follow the validation steps to finalize the changeover with automatic counting.
(Option 2) Using event categorization, via the timeline or event creation
Step 1: Go to a "Machine" dashboard or the "Categorization" page
If your machine stops and the device reports an "undefined downtime", you can directly categorize the current downtime as a "changeover" in the standard categorization interface (see the article Categorizing Downtimes in Keyprod for more details).
You can then follow the steps presented in Option 1 above, starting from Step 2.
Via the Keynetic Device Interface
If you have a Keynetic device, you can categorize undefined downtimes directly from the device interface !
Step 1: Go to the "Changeover" page by clicking the "double arrow" icon in the side navigation bar
Step 2: Select the job to be launched from the list
The list of manufacturing orders to be launched is displayed as cards, in chronological order of scheduled launch.
Step 3: Validate the changeover
Click on a card to launch the new series.
Some windows may suggest "starting a learning sequence". Follow the validation steps to finalize the changeover with automatic counting.
Additional information: If at the end of this final step the automatic counting appears incorrect, it is likely that downtimes or micro-stops during the learning process have affected its accuracy. We recommend restarting it to ensure reliable counting.
