Troubleshooting Guide for Connecting a KEYVIBE via LED Wi-Fi
When installing or experiencing issues with your KEYVIBE device, the Wi-Fi LED is a valuable indicator for diagnosing connectivity problems. Here is a guide to understanding and resolving common issues based on the color of the Wi-Fi LED on your unit.
Wi-Fi LED Cyan:
The cyan LED indicates that the unit is not configured to connect to a network.
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Connect the KEYVIBE to your network using an RJ45 cable.
- Access the configuration interface by typing "10.10.10.1" in your browser's URL bar.
- Configure the Wi-Fi by entering the SSID (network name) and password.
- Save the settings.
Wi-Fi LED Orange:
The orange LED means that the KEYVIBE is connected to the network but has no Internet access.
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Check the Internet connection on another device connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- If no other device has Internet access, contact your IT service to resolve the network issue.
- If the KEYVIBE is the only device without access, check for firewall restrictions or other network configurations that might be blocking the connection (verify network traffic settings).
Wi-Fi LED Red:
The red LED indicates that Wi-Fi is configured but there is no connection.
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Connect the KEYVIBE to your network using an RJ45 cable.
- Access the configuration interface by entering "10.10.10.1" in your browser's URL bar.
- Ensure that the signal strength is good at the KEYVIBE's location.
- If the signal is weak or unstable, move the KEYVIBE closer to your router or consider using a Wi-Fi signal booster.
- If the signal is strong and stable but the connection is not established, reconfigure the Wi-Fi by entering the SSID and password again, then save.
- Note: If the red LED persists after these steps, check the network traffic settings or contact your IT service for further assistance.
LEDs Off:
If the LED on your unit is off, this generally means that the device is not powered.
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Check the unit's power supply:
- Ensure that the KEYVIBE is properly connected to a power source. Inspect the cables and connections to ensure they are not loose or damaged.
- Electrical connection:
- If the wiring and sockets appear in good condition but the LED remains off, verify the electrical connection.
- Ensure the power cable is securely plugged into the KEYVIBE and that there is no play.
- Make sure the wall outlet is working by plugging in another electronic device.
- If you are using a power strip or UPS, ensure they are powered on and working properly.
- If the wiring and sockets appear in good condition but the LED remains off, verify the electrical connection.
- After checking these elements, plug in or reconnect the device to restore power.
- If the LED remains off after these checks, there may be a more serious issue with your device. In this case, it is recommended to contact technical support for additional assistance or consider maintenance or replacement of the device if necessary.
Important Reminder: Always handle electrical components with caution and ensure the device is turned off before intervening to avoid the risk of electric shock.
Wi-Fi LED Green:
A green LED shows that the KEYVIBE is correctly connected to a network and has Internet access.
No action required; your device is working properly regarding Wi-Fi.
By following these steps, you should be able to diagnose and resolve most KEYVIBE connection issues. If problems persist, do not hesitate to contact our technical support for further assistance.
